  The damage model is severely borked. There is no flipping way ANY tank will resist a hit by one main-gun shell, no matter the type.

  The ammo for ships in War Thunder have a simplified damage model compared to ground forces, for example they produce almost no spall upon penetration which is why tanks can survive a direct hit from battleship level guns in this game, I believe this was done because Gaijins servers simply couldn't survive the amount of spall that would be generated by hundreds of shells hitting targets at once.

  I feel if a Battleship's main gun got a direct hit on any tank irl, it'd do massive damage just from the kinetic force of impact alone.

  A Mk 13 US battleship round makes a 50 ft crater in solid ground. Every tank would be rolled across the beach.

  There is no way 100 tanks of any type would have sliver of a chance.  This is pretty silly.

  The Missouri&apos;s main guns were making craters 50 feet wide and 20 feet deep on Iwo Jima and Okinawa. &nbsp;<br><br>The Yamato&apos;s 9 x &nbsp;18&quot; guns would destroy that whole beachhead in one salvo.

  Would have been more interesting if you used players for some of the tanks, that way they’d be able to look for cover

  The Yamato&apos;s main guns High Explosive (HE) would completely annihilate most, if not all those tanks. The beehive rounds are a whole different story!

  Sadly kinetic energy isn&apos;t taken into consideration otherwise the tanks wouldn&apos;t be surviving some of these hits
