Beautiful to see how Kandace listens with passion and joy when she has a pause and her fellow musician team play with such magnificence.

To those who who would give this track a thumbs down I say 'The person that hath no music in themselves, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils; The motions of their spirit are dull as night, And their affections dark as Erebus. Let no such person be trusted". Fantastic Kandace Springs track.  ( Kudos to Bart Van Lier and Leo Janssen )

I still don't get why she's not releasing all these live performances in albums... She sounds incredible live, and the big band is superb.

Kandace Springs is just incredible and  in my opinion she has long been the new star in the international jazz scene. Here accompanied by fantastic Metropole Orchestra, propably for now the best in the world.

This track is taken from a performance for a live audience in the Metropole Orkest's homebase studios in Hilversum, The Netherlands in March 2017. In a jam-packed studio Kandace showed her formidable vocal talent, particularly in Soul Eyes, one of the most beautiful jazz ballads composed by pianist Mel Waldron. Solos are by Bart van Lier-trb en Leo Janssen-ts. The luscious, beautiful arrangement is by Michael Abene.

I only recently discovered her from watching Live from Daryl's house, and  she never ceases to impress me. She reminds me of the late Carmen McRae, with splashes of the late great Sarah Vaughan. I'm going to buy every cd she has   ;0     just when I thought all we had was twerkers and jerkers and NOW I know that there is talent out there   <3   Well done
