  I think that curved swage line is what gave the TR7 and TR8 their visual character :)

  Growing up in Rhode Island USA i had a neighbor who worked for British Leyland in new Jersey and he spent a week down there and drove home on weekends with a different new British sports car just about every weekend. This is where i first saw one. I was hooked on these cars, &nbsp;I eventually bought a 71 tr6 then a 76 tr6 which was my daily driver for years.

  The gearbox is a LT77 (Leyland Triumph 77mm). The same gearbox used in Rover SD1s and many TVRs. Land Rover also used it.

  I remeber when the TR7 was launched and always loved the looks. If anything I think it has aged very gracefully.

  If a car has pop-up headlights, please show the car with the lights up and the car moving. &nbsp;It&apos;s a fun and interesting part of the car, and has a cool factor that new cars no longer have. &nbsp;Other than that, great reviews, thanks.

  Totally disagree about the swage line, it softens the round wheel arches into the straight lines above. The design wouldn&apos;t work at all without it. Love it

  Even rarer I believe is the TR7 Sprint with the Triumph 16 valve from the Dolly.
