  Good video! Side note, speed rail is not always black and powder coated. It doesn’t need to be and it’s certainly cheaper when it’s not powder coated.

  Very well put together 👏🏽 Now I’m fascinated w the black bounce. It’s something I heard another cinematographer mention in an interview and I didn’t think much of it. Now, I’m trying to think of what it’s properties would be other than greatly reducing the intensity of the light and how it might be useful. Does anyone here use a black bounce regularly? What properties have you found with it and what use have you come up with? How did it differ from a very low intensity white bounce or a black diffusion?

  Have you seen those acrylic panels for diffusing LEDs which are black plastic but through some witchcraft allow like ~30% of the LEDs light to pass through? I'm doing product videos with animated lights and want really good contrast as the light moves from one side to the other, but am getting too much light bouncing back from the lights which are off on the opposite side of the ones that are on and besides trying that plastic (and having to cut or otherwise shape it) was curious what you'd recommend.
