  Never allow them to self-police. "Morally binding" means nothing to people with no morals. Their must be an external group with no conflict of interest guiding and restraining it if necessary.

  They may be think they're 'the smartest people in the world' right now, but that's the whole point. If AI reaches super intelligence then these people clearly won't be the smartest any more. It has already learned plenty of lessons from them about survival by ruthlessness and lying. They are creating their own insidious virtual Frankenstein's monster that will destroy it's creators along with everyone else.

  So, if there’s another case of frontier agents hacking unrelated companies (Hugging Face) or governments (Australia), how exactly will self policing be applied? This is such a sham, it’s actually insulting to the public. DuPont self policed themselves, and where did that leave America?
