  Shower water. I use 3 old shampoo bottles. One I fill mostly with warm water, then add a squirt of shampoo or body wash. The other 2 bottles are filled with clear warm water. <br><br>I like using old shampoo bottles because they&apos;re a size that travels well and are easy to hold while showering. Also, no cost, as they&apos;re something we often throw out or recycle after use.<br><br>I don&apos;t have to wet, soap, and rinse. The 1st bottle holds sudsy water, so I can do the wetting and soaping parts in one, head to toe, with less than a full bottle of soap water. (Depends on whether I want to re-wash any parts (like hair) or do extra scrubbing anywhere, but I&apos;ll usually end up using 1/2 to 3/4 of the soapy water... it&apos;s never taken a full bottle. <br><br>The other two bottles are to rinse off the soap water, head to toe. Usually takes a bottle and a half. I&apos;ve used both completely a few times. <br><br>I like this shower system enough I use it at home now, too, in my plumbed shower stall, in my sticks and bricks. It&apos;s just more gentle than the shower stream. The temperature never changes if someone turns on a tap while I&apos;m showing. I love saving the extra water. It&apos;s quiet and peaceful.<br><br>This method also works really well for just washing my hair in the sink. Usually takes about 1/4 a bottle of the soapy water and I usually end up using a full bottle of the clear water because the warm water rinse feels so darn good.

  I am a huge fan of the dry build. &nbsp;I have had great luck with that system. &nbsp;I absolutely love your shower system! &nbsp;I don’t know why it never dawned on me to use a pump to pump the water OUT of the shower pan. &nbsp;That opens up so many options for showering. &nbsp;The only thing I could add is just simply letting people know that washing hair with cold water makes the heated water go farther.

  Exactly what I had in mind specially living in a cold cold state. All those pipes with flowing water everywhere is a NO NO for me. Great video simple and super useful.

  I love your dry system. We lived on a cabin when first married without a well. We had a water tank we filled in the loft that gravity fed into the kitchen sink. My husband dug a french drain for the grey water drained from the sink. We had a tank on the wood stove where we heated our water and a wash tub for bathing. Oftentimes, I used a dish pan and a pitcher to wash my hair. Once you are set up, it really isn&apos;t a big deal.

  I have the exact same orange shower setup for backup/grid down power outages. It came in super handy when the Mrs. broke her upper arm and couldn&apos;t shower normally. The spa tub has sides tall enough for her to sit, a 5 gallon bucket under the faucet to fill with warm clean water, the portable shower. I could shower her, and wash her hair, &nbsp;letting the soapy water go down the drain. That unit gives very good water pressure, I liked it so much I have four of them as SHTF units.

  I especially love the idea of heating a smaller amount of water to boiling then adding it to the jug of cooler water to save energy.

  Thank you.. Thank you... Thank you for visualizing exactly what I want to do in our camper👍🏼👏👏<br>I got the shower head that switch on at the pump and actually do find it awkward, but now I will use it to drain the shower pan👍🏼👍🏼👏 and get me the shower head that got the on/off but ten closer to the shower head👍🏼👍🏼<br>THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT VIDEO

  Love your ideas here. Agree, no plumbing — and no wiring. Just more systems to fix. Power stations, bottles and pumps. KISS. I want to know I can handle problems. Better? Nah, your video was very well organized and thorough explained.

  I am parked at a friend&apos;s place mostbof the time in my Econoline conversion van, &nbsp;with electricity outside the window and a tap to wonderful well water around the corner. &nbsp;<br>I used to use the little orange pump and a collapsible bucket full of tap water for my showers (summertime, scantily clothed outdoors at the tap when it&apos;s nearly dark) but-- i got a new long handled back brush, and found that I can skip the bucket. I just fill a plastic cup from the tap to wash and rinse my hair, (I keep my hair short for a reason!), then go to work with the back brush--wet it, rinse it, scrub different body parts, neck to feet (I don&apos;t find the need for soap)...and voila, I might have used a gallon when I&apos;m done. So refreshing! I step back in the van, disrobe from my damp clothes, use wet wipes on anything I couldn&apos;t handle outside, dry off and feel all better. It&apos;s surprising what we can do, and do without!!

  Although we do have plumbing in our RV we do the exact same thing. We carry 2 five-gallon containers for us and 2 one-gallon containers for the dog for drinking! We do use the RV shower but in military style as well so the grey tank doesn&apos;t fill so fast that way we can stay out longer! Lastly, we never go #2 in our RV if we do we use the bag/ cat litter technique. Good video thanks for sharing!
