  My family would never pull a stunt  like Lilly’s sorry momma did, but My Grandmother, Dillie Gertrude, was instrumental in my upbringing after my Dad died. She was simply the best to all her family. Nothing was too much. I am 74 now and I think of her everyday. Great story.

  I’m glad that my grandmother passed away at home surrounded by people who loved her. She had called my mother that morning to let her know she was not going to survive her illness. So, she should be prepared. <br><br>She crashed later that day. 15 minutes before she passed, my niece said to her mother, “mom, there’s an angel at the foot and Nana’s bed.” &nbsp;<br><br>Nana died at 8:15pm the same day she called my mother to let her know this illness will take her. <br><br>I was a nurse at the time myself and had a rare night off. I got the call after 10pm. <br><br>She has already given me her most precious item just before my 10th birthday. A jewelry box that had belonged to her grandmother. <br><br>It will go to my granddaughter when the time is right. <br><br>I also got her 1972 in cabinet singer sewing machine. I taught my son to quilt on it a year later. <br><br>I love you Nana. Thank you for being there for me growing up. &nbsp;I am who I am because you. &nbsp;I made it out; just like you did.

  I like it when you use places where I’ve lived. Lived in Greenville but now almost 40 years in Pickens SC. Education Bob jones university and furman.

  You sent 23 letters. The second one should have been to your mother reminding her that interfering with someone else’s mail is a federal offense and further interference would be reported.
