There are people like Paulie in every industry & walk of life. Just a meat head that didnt get with the times, & when he got old, turned into a relic

Paulie is kinda like Richie in the sense that both men are firm believers in the old school mob Life I respect that 😎

My God, this one of the most incredible character studies I’ve come across watching sopranos videos. The show is truly an onion that needs to be peeled layer by layer to get to the deeper meanings held inside. I was a casual watcher of the show when it was on, and only now, 25 years later have I started to understand the true nature of the characters and themes of the show. It is truly amazing to think that these storylines, characters, events and outcomes were so layered and complex, while appearing to be a show about a mob boss that sees a shrink. Thank you for your amazing video, there is so much to parse from it, even in our own lives, where blind obedience turns us blind. Amazing.

Pauly was the most treacherous character on the show. He’s the one that went back and told Johnny sack about the Ralphie joke about his wife almost started a war behind it.

He spent his entire life alone. And the one person in his life, his mother, was gone by the end of the series. He treated her so terribly after finding out his birthing situation that every time I rewatch the series I skip past that entire storyline. Because it makes me so angry how horrible he was to that poor old woman. Literally the only person in his entire life that loved him too. But anyway, I’m $4 a pound.

Paulie did dismiss Chris' concerns when Chris asked "what about my arc?!?"

The continuous use of the term "Hollow" hearkens to a central theme in the Dark Souls games. From the perspective of this essay, I can see parallels between Lordran/Lothric and the mafiosa. All the talk of relics, candles burning in burnt out cathedrals, madness, devotion, violence and prayer....it all feels like different periods along a shared timeline.
