Former 50 of 75 years a hobo. I didn't know I was so animated when I spoke. I am no longer stay in that apartment. I am making other plans including finding more jungle spots. A hobo always know nothing is for sure. I never unpacked my basic leaving town pack. Will keep in touch.

He must have encountered creeps living like this . Best summation I ever heard was "avoid anyone really interested in you"

My wife had a great uncle, we called him “Uncle Bogey “. He was always in Florida for Spring Training. He would give his nephew his signed baseballs.(Mickey Mantle Etc.)He rode the rail, and, harvested the crops. When Bogey turned 65, we all pitched in and got him an apartment at a retirement facility in Macon Ga. I bought him a Lazyboy. I got a phone call, “You’d better come and pick up your recliner, Bogey done flew the coup.” Bogey lasted three weeks in the apartment, then he had to hit the road. A fascinating individual. Died a Hobo in ‘92.

Old feller's got some smarts. True of most older folks I guess. Modernity has forgotten the wisdom of time and experience.

So intelligent. So simple, yet, very informative. He does not baffle you with BS, he talks so a child could learn, nothing complex, but still profound. Thank you, James, this is an excellent series.
