4am, Sacramento, CA. Woke up early for unknown reasons and couldn't go back to sleep. It's my bday. 54 yrs old now. Lying alone in a bedroom rented from a friend. Divorced, feeling sad and alone, but getting better from reading these comments, knowing that I am not alone. Keep fighting brothers and sisters. Let's make the most of our remaining time we have left in this life. And always remember that you are not alone.

1.04am, 34 year old, living in Birmingham in England. Sleeping next to my 2.5 year old son, listening to him snore, while my newborn is in the other room. This feels like the most tiring phase of life, but I know I'll look back & think it was the best. I'll long to come back to these days where my world revolved around my boys. Makes me sad knowing my parents were once like this, all those years ago. It's so hard to stay in the present, but each moment is a gift.

Cherish you loved ones and the time you have with them!

4:40 in Shanghai China. Been working and living here for almost 20 years. Sometimes a lifetime passes by like a blink of an eye. I can still remember when I arrived here as a 25 year old, and now I feel like I’m closer to retirement home than bars and parties. In another blink of an eye I’ll probably be eating jello and watching day time soaps. Probably don’t have time to blink twice. Live well!

Just got back from a gig, played piano for a salsa band. It was lively and amazing. As soon as the gig was over, nobody is gonna remember my name, or understand the work the went into developing my skill. It’s there for a moment and it goes away.

I'm in Chicago, Illinois, USA. It is just a boring afternoon for this retired widower. It is interesting to see the comments from around the world. We are all alike, aren't we? Reading all of your comments it suddenly occurred to me that all of these terrible wars throughout history are really just leaders sending people who really are brothers and sisters out to kill each other.

It's hard to imagine making it through life as an early nomad; our ancestors clearly had incredible grit.
