  Ferries are only free when it is the only solution to reach the island. When there is also a bridge or tunnel available, the ferry is not free.

  Great video, agree with you 99%. Just finished a week in Norway riding in fjords. Astonishing views, great roads, basically everything a rider wants from the riding a bike. 9 degrees celsius in summer was something new. Some ferries had to be paid, but it was super cheap, under 10 eur, max 15 a day.

  Thanks for your nice video and the 10 tips. I travelled through Norway all the way up to Lofoten and the North Cape with my Honda CB500X last year. 9000 km in 6 1/2 weeks, with full camping equipment including fishing gear 🙂. My experience with the ferries was more varied, some charge and some don't but even if they charge it's never much. Good rain gear is absolutely essential! The tunnels sometimes have very bad lighting (or no lighting at all), so I strongly recommend adding some additional bright lights to your motorcycle. Heated grips are a necessity, so put them on if you dont have them already. And I fully agree: give yourself as much time as possible. There is absolutely no point in going up to the North Cape and back in two weeks. Take your time, enjoy the scenery and try out some less travelled roads. On one gravel road, I encountered maybe two vehicles in 50km ... I can't wait to go to Norway again!

  Great tips. Tunnels are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Another tunnel Hint: don’t wear sunglasses or permanently tinted visors.

  A way to avoid extra expensive ferry fees in Norway. Many people travel by motorbike in Norway and nowadays there is no charge on the ferries. Instead, you must either have an Autopass and pay via it (for those who travel a lot/commute in Norway) or pay for individual trips via FerryPay.

  Excellent video ! &nbsp;<br>Great quality with plenty of great advice.<br>Your advice to give yourself enough time is spot on.<br>Last August I spent 6days just on northern Norway and did not even get to Nordkapp or Lofoten Islands.<br>It just means that I need to go back :)

  Thanks for the video, and thanks to the Norwegian man for the midnight ferry tip! I am leaving to Norway in 1 week. I think you can ride there for many months and still not see everything. Cool bike too!
