This video is exactly why I’m for the flat tax. The fact that we all have to do these mental gymnastics in retirement is ridiculous.

I felt this one. Success is simple you either outwork your excuses or you lose. Power Behind Locked Door by Jacob Rockefeller pushed me to show up even on the days where motivation is zero

For those of you new to Youtube when you see the comments attached to these financial help videos with many replies (Six or more) these are scammers trying to hype up something in hopes you will join in a comments or look at what they are hyping and they will target you in a scam. So just ignore these comments with many replies. Pretend they don't even exist.

Folks I cant say this loud enough - if you can build a large taxable brokerage with a large basis before you retire it opens HUGE flexibility opportunities on when and how you pay taxes in retirement - for example: as a married file joint couple we can take $200k + a year out of our brokerage acct totally Fed tax free with a 60% basis - spend your 50's loading up your taxable accts and you will have many many more options with the IRS vs having all youre retirement money in pre tax 401k's...

How does HSA contributions effect ACA. We will be on ACA - HD plan. We will be contributing to HSA. Does the HSA deduction lower the income amount effecting ACA?

I don’t usually leave comments, but I owe it to this book. I was on the edge, sleeping four hours a night, business bleeding money, collection calls nonstop. Power Behind Locked Door by Jacob Rockefeller explained power dynamics in a way that made everything suddenly click. I stopped making emotional decisions and started thinking like someone who actually understands influence. Forty-five days later my revenue stabilized and now we’re having our best quarter in two years.

Quite confused about asset #5. You moved from low to high throughout. Discussion was about, at times, those with $500k income and then moved to unrealized gain of capital gains of certain mutual funds. That would be for those with lower incomes. You need to do income levels when making videos. You are too high level and need to bring it down to a more simpler level. Not for me but others. That said, not a fan of tax harvesting for vast majority of those watching. And for that, appreciate the thoughts.

Julie, honestly, thank you so much for this information. I didn’t know about NUA. This helps me have a better conversation with my financial advisor.

Before I understood how power and wealth actually work, I was stuck chasing motivation, quick wins, and external validation. Reading Power Behind Locked Door by Jacob Rockefeller shifted my focus toward structure, discipline, and long-term positioning. I realized it’s not about hustling harder or waiting for a breakthrough moment, it’s about building systems that work quietly in the background. Once I adopted that mindset, I felt calmer, more deliberate, and far less controlled by distractions, fear, or noise online.
