If the West doesn't mend good relationship with Global South particularly with India, then West is doomed to fail.

US puts tariffs on India, China and few other countries, to somehow pressurize Russia to stop the war. Protector of democracy, liberty and freedom. Very well. Meanwhile the US themselves are in a war against the Iranians, also bombarding schools, civilian infrastructures and cities. The World is stupid? Off course countries around the world, especially the Global South as they become stronger economically, they will find a way to do away with dollars. It will only accelerate the down fall of the American hegemony

Kick USA out of the G7 and G20, and make the latter a real world economic forum. Replace dollar as last resort currency as fast as possibly, before USA goes bankrupt and ruins us all.

The reality of human civilisation cannot be reduced to modern labels such as “First World,” “Third World,” or “emerging economy.” These classifications are relatively recent constructs and often overlook the fact that many highly sophisticated, prosperous and interconnected societies existed long before the rise of modern Western powers.

The more important principle should not be domination, but cooperation. Civilisations have historically advanced when knowledge, trade and ideas moved between societies rather than when one society attempted to establish its superiority over another.

India is an important example. For centuries, the Indian subcontinent made major contributions to mathematics, astronomy, medicine, metallurgy, philosophy and other fields of knowledge that continue to influence the modern world. Indian numerals, the development of zero, advances in mathematical calculation, early medical traditions and sophisticated metallurgical techniques are only some examples of this intellectual legacy. Yet much of this history receives relatively little attention in mainstream discussions of global development.

Knowledge has never belonged exclusively to one civilisation. Ideas developed in India, the Middle East, China, Greece and elsewhere travelled through trade, translation and cultural exchange before becoming incorporated into what is now regarded as modern global knowledge.

The history of colonialism also deserves serious reflection. India was one of the world’s major economic and commercial centres for centuries before British colonial rule significantly altered its political and economic structures. This raises an important question about how we define a “civilised” society. Is civilisation measured by military dominance and territorial expansion, or by the ability to create knowledge, sustain communities, conduct trade and influence the wider world without seeking to dominate it?

Perhaps the greater lesson from history is that civilisation should not be understood as belonging to East or West, nor to any particular religion or culture. Humanity progresses most effectively when societies recognise the contributions of one another, exchange knowledge openly and replace ideas of cultural superiority with cooperation and mutual respect.
