  I love what you guys do, Canada really needs a smart conservative voice that questions what the Natural Governing Party is up to.  But your take on this kind of makes me giggle a bit. It is painfully obvious that Canada’s best play is to delay, prevaricate and stall as long as possible. We face a bad-faith irrational negotiating partner whose word cannot be trusted, so what value is there in signing any deal at all? A year from now the US administration will turn over the table and we’ll be doing this all over again. CUSMA/USMCA is a LAW, passed by Congress and Parliament (yes, including the dairy industry protections!) Trump is breaking US law with these tariffs. Unless you’re just willing to take anything and surrender all your dignity and your economy, the right move is to not sign any deal at all until 2029. Maybe never. Sean, the parents are not reuniting. The marriage is over. It’s going to be hard, we didn’t choose it, but that’s what it is. And why are you attacking the Provinces? I thought conservatives were pro-provincial rights? Read your Constitution Act 1867, they are clearly acting within the division of powers. And guys, stop blaming Trudeau, he’s long gone thank God,  but it just sounds silly and discredits you. Stop living in 2024 guys! More Andrew Coyne please!

  You guys and the perpetual segments of  "are we there yet?"  is killing me 😅  Maybe the tariffs are just the new normal.  I think Carney is going to escalate this kerfuffle before the midterms with a Gripen / F35 mixed fleet announcement. The new review has been a over a year (18 months)and considered the fast track mandate of C39, it's out of time.  The political fallout with the US during the mid-term season will help soften the blow.   Is the Hub going to cover Don Jr. and Dragonfly?

  There's no window for a deal. Regardless the outcome of the midterms neither Democrats nor Republicans want a relationship that's in any way favorable to Canada. This is the new normal.

  Hasn't Trudeau also provoked Trump into calling him the governor of the 51 state during his [uninvited] visit to Mar-o-largo on American Thanksgiving? Seems he's given Trump some ideas how-to rattle Canada during that visit... how tariffs would end auto manufacturing, as one example

  Our current political rhetoric in Canada is driven by emotional appeal rather than economic strategy.<br>Can&apos;t help but think our economic condition would be on a far better tangent with slightly different approach 18 months ago.
