  Use a Bone Knife to harvest crops. Fastest animation with the lowest stamina cost. All you need is a bone to repair.

  A strategy I like to use is to plant a mushroom in my base right after I've planted some seeds outside somewhere. When the mushroom is ready for harvest the rest of the garden is ready too. I just have to keep an eye on the mushroom, I don't have to check the outside plants all the time. Useful if planting in a remote spot out of sight from my base such as a POI's plantable spots.

  Rotting flesh is everywhere, and nitrate powder is easily mined, so getting lots of farm plots is pretty easy. I make farming plots 5x5 in size and usually have around 200 of them. I plant out my seeds, harvest the crop,  convert the crop to seeds, re-plant and repeat until I have enough seeds to plant in all the plots. One big full harvest is enough to either make me rich, or to make me totally food self-sufficient in no time at all. Get farming, folks. Don't just survive, thrive!

  As someone who never plays MP, farming is something I do at a certain point just because I feel I&apos;m missing out otherwise - can&apos;t let all those seeds &amp; stuff (yes, I&apos;m a loot goblin) go to waste.<br><br>Doesn&apos;t matter if I&apos;m swimming in food, drink &amp; water filters by that point, it just nags at my brain if I don&apos;t do it.

  One thing you can do day 1 is take Living Off The Land (doubles harvest) and harvest wild flowers and cotton for money. &nbsp;You can sell at the trader and have lots of dukes early on. &nbsp;It isn&apos;t very sexy, but it is an easy way to get some spending cash without having to fight zombies.

  Just a tip, it is far cheaper to buy super corn seeds than to make them. It costs 5 super corn to make 1 seed. If you have points in better barter, and/or bartering armour this gets even more pronounced. You are restricted in how many is sold, but early game, that is very helpful to get going. Additional trader Rekts make this much easier as well

  I find the easiest way to get the Super Corn recipe is to kill Dire Wolves and Zed Bears. Plus you get a lot of other good loot. I don&apos;t generally start worry about farming Super Corn until I&apos;ve already made a secure base (I play Blood Moons every 10 days because the math is so much easier to keep track of) so after the second one (day 20) I can usually start thinking about farming. That&apos;s me. I just find that within 30 kills. Plus all the testosterone and rotten flesh harvested give me money and needed farm plot block material.

  I love this. &nbsp;Farming done right is an absolute game-changer. &nbsp;With Dew Collectors and the Super Corn recipe to accompany it, farming can handle SO MUCH. &nbsp;Food, drinks, glue, beer, money, paint, wood, medicine, cloth, the list goes on - on tap and infinitely renewable. &nbsp;Set it up correctly, and you can go full-on closed biosphere whenever needed.

  I would add a tip on where to get seeds to begin with, besides just random loot.<br>The little fresh food stands on the corners of some intersections, usually in the areas of towns where farms are contain several lootable boxes that can give plenty of random seeds.<br>Also the &quot;bandit camp&quot; POI&apos;s that used to be a Rekt compound also have a ton of lootable seeds.<br>The small tier 1 POI stores like Moe&apos;s Grocery and Joe&apos;s USA have plenty to loot as well.

  Also worth mentioning: Harvesting crops with a hunting knife is faster than using fists, machete, shovel or axe. Bone knife is fast too, but the hunting knife lasts longer.

  Cobweb Cottage IS absolutely lovely once you&apos;ve fixed it up a bit. Complete fence, full basement, garage AND a garden? Sign me up.
