My family and I took Eurostar in standard class in May 2022 on the very same route. We were among the first international travelers to visit as Covid restrictions were being lifted. Trip was so smooth and cozy, I wish it lasted longer!

I took a Eurostar trip from London to Paris two years ago when I received an email that my train had been delayed by an “IT problem”. I got there hours ahead of time and they booked me on the next train an hour later. When I got on that train, I made my way to my seat only to see a woman sitting there. I politely told her it was my seat and showed her my ticket. To my surprise, she showed me her ticket with the same seat. I looked around and saw multiple people like myself also double booked.<br><br>As I was getting off the train, a kind woman flagged me over and showed me a seat in the middle/back? of the car normally reserved for conductors. I sat there the whole ride and it was decently comfortable.<br><br>I had never had an issue like that on any trains I’ve been on in America or Japan. Crazy.

so cool and beautiful to see eurostars, I hope I can get to ride on the E300 but the E320's are gorgeous, but the sounds of the E300 when it goes, magnificant

The Eurostar booking site makes it very clear which seats face forward. Not the least bit confusing 😂
