Because you said you work with women on your community, I felt inclined to leave this comment: I am a man that enjoys your content, what got me here was the connection between meditation, mental health, and cleaning.

Learning to stay out of stores from Oct 1st till Feb 1st has helped me to slow the stuff coming in!

This is all true… the challenge is learning to say “I DON’T NEED THIS” when shopping or online browsing. You get a temporary rush from the fun of shopping. It’s an addiction.

Finally this year got all of the adults in the extended family to agree that we will only get gifts for the two children under 18 left!

I would like to see more videos that relate to life after decluttering. I reached a good balance in my house a few years ago (partially because of your channel, thank you!), and now I’m less interested in decluttering and more interested in being resourceful, creative, living a full life, and spending selectively!

I am eating my way through my pantry. I am almost down to nothing. Anything left at the end of next week is going out. I have been meal planning for the past three months, and my shopping list has been pared down. To top it off my grocery bill has reduced. Win, win, win. Thank you Dawn!

Most decluttering videos that just say: "throw it out; give it away; get rid of it!" are useless. What's needed is a good explanation of WHY we are cluttered and overwhelmed and HOW to change our mindsets and approach. Dawn, your videos do that. Thanks.

The “time will tell bin” is brilliant! I held it for 4 months, 4 full bins and only went in them twice. Thank you for that idea!

Found you 3.5 years ago when I had just had my second baby. 2 under 17 months. I’ve since declutterred my house, started my own business, and have plenty of time and energy for my family. My kids at 3.5 and 5 know how to sort items for keep/donate and they also know their favorites. Thank you so much Dawn! ❤😊

Dawn, I have watched you for years and I am a GREAT declutterer because of you haha. I think you could really do great shifting from solely decluttering and working on content that encourages less consumption. People right now NEED help to stop buying stuff and you have such a great platform to encourage people. Just a thought as I think you have produced so much excellent decluttering content but maintaining that manageable inventory is where a lot of people get tripped up I believe.

0:35 It's too much! Yes! yes, it is. I remember when my niece was 7 years old, her mother sent her into her room to tidy it up. When she came in an hour later to see the progress, there she was sitting in the middle of the mess, with nothing done. When she asked why she hadn't done anything, my niece wailed "it's too much!" At the time, l just laughed, but now l feel sorry for that little girl, because that is exactly how l feel. I know l want to keep * most* of the stuff laying about, but where? Where can it go? It's all too much!
