  You guys provide great information! I had a video call with Tahir and I would recommend anyone work with him as I plan to do when my time comes to make the move. If a viewer has not visited Albania, I highly recommend doing so. I look forward to me next trip in December. Thank you all for the great information you provide.

  I just want to comment about having your SS deposited directly into an Albanian bank account... My understanding is that since Elon &amp; DOGE closed so many physical SS offices in the US, it is not wise to attempt to have your SS deposited into ANY &apos;new account,&apos; regardless of where. In effect, for many people there is NO such thing as &apos;going to your local SS office to get a letter&apos; - or to do anything else in-person - anymore. Keep your deposit going to your US bank. &apos;If it ain&apos;t broke, don&apos;t fix it&apos; on this one, because they royally Effed-up the SS offices. &nbsp;Transferring your SS on a monthly basis may well be the only safe way to do this. Do your own research on this, but this has been a strong sentiment in this past year.

  I came across your Reddit posts and YouTube videos recently. I was ecstatic to find these resources because my partner and I are digital nomads looking for a second home. We excitedly booked the appointment and waited. It was a no show. We also sent a message through the form while waiting, and still have not heard back. We&apos;re absolutely heartbroken. I think if you don&apos;t like to help people other than Americans, the least you can do is tell them.

  You mentioned that in qualifying for a retirement residency permit that one must open a bank account in Albania. In addition, the monthly pension or Social Security payment must be direct deposited there or, if it is direct deposited into my home country&apos;s bank, it could also be set up to automatically transfer monthly from my home country&apos;s bank to the Albania bank account. My question is this: Am I required to transfer my entire monthly Social Security payment or can I just transfer the amount needed to qualify for the residency permit? If the minimum annual requirement is 1.200.000 ALL or about 100.000 ALL per month, can I just transfer that amount and leave the remaining amount in my home country&apos;s bank?

  Great informaton! I&apos;d be &nbsp;interested in learning about Albanian income tax with this long term residency. I would be using the Retirement Visa option with social security/401k funds from the USA

  This is great information. I have my military money but i do have a small leather working business here. I was hoping on setting it up and sell a bit there. Even if I only make enough to support making stuff, which is all it does here.
