Leo's Laboratory. That song commanded attention whenever it played. I remember playing this and my wife asking me to please try and get through that area as quickly as possible so it would stop.

I was 7 when this came out and it was one of the first games, along with Final Fantasy IV, that really showed me how serious and artistic video games could be. It was one of the first that I was able to get through by myself as well and I still love it 25 years later! The music is so good.

Man this game was pretty deep, especially when I was a kid. They talk about death, sadness and loneliness and combined with the great soundtrack was haunting. Such a great game.

Why is the soundtrack so haunting? Especially the 6:23 one? Played it my childhood and could never forget it.
