The fact that Square-Enix released a remake of Actraiser tells me that they do indeed hold the rights to the Quintet games. So why have they not given us Soul Blazer, Gaia and Terranigma in 2DHD? The 2DHD style is begging for an Action RPG and these games would be perfect!

One of the most underrated games of all time. Period.

Ahh, simpler times when twirling a flute solved most immovable problems.

I honestly think that these games helped me grow up as a kid. I can sit here and just listen to the music and replay the scenes of being stuck on the raft eating fish again. Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Gaia, Shadowrun, Zelda ALTTP, and the other games pretty much made me the person I am today. (A level 34 wizard :D )
One of the best written RPGS of the SNES era.

As a child, I always thought this game paled in comparison to Zelda ALTTP, FFVI and Chrono Trigger. As I got older, I came to realize how well this game captured that coming-of-age sense of adventure. The environments spoke for themselves, and the story was much darker than I remembered. When the word "underrated" is used for this game, it truly fits the description. An actual Jem.

The nostalgia at 18:40 and 35:33. Tears, from better times when i was 11 and wasnt living in... this world. It was 1995. It was good. It was happy. It was a sacred protected place devoid of what is, now. Damn, that was 26 years ago now.

I miss childhood.

Holy crap... I haven't played this game for 20 years now. Such fond memories - this is up there with FF and Chrono Trigger as beautiful memories of the SNES.

This game was insane. I was 11 years old. I never expected to play a game that dealt with such themes ass death, and loss, and grief, and that taught about screwed up parts of history, and slavery, and also took the time to include real world wonders. Some parts of the game felt morbid - I think that when Hamlet dies, it was INTENDED to be comical... not to 11 year old me! Also, when Seth dies... that awkward ass boat ride afterwards. The Russian Glass Sailor in Watermia... how he drinks poison out of pure sportsmanship.

This game really did take the darker aspects of life and scaled it down to what is basically a children's fairytale.

The way that I felt to see the kids reunited in modern times at the end of the game felt wrong- It felt like the developers really put you through a series of dark and traumatic things, and then tried to say "we were just kidding" at the last second.

I will always cherish this masterpiece.
