  The one time Copilot popped up asking me what I'd like to do, I asked it how to fully deactivate Copilot.  It guided me through the process (with a couple slight issues), and it worked; I haven't been bothered since.  10/10 would uninstall again.

  End of the day windows forgot what it was. They are not innovators, they are not boundary pushers, they are the workhorse platform, a tool. The two things a tool should never be is slow and intrusive.

  An operating system is supposed to be a tool, not a service. That's where Windows fails. The only reason it has managed to remain relevant for so long is that it's the default operating system on the vast majority of new computers.

  You forgot to mention that with Windows 11 they added a bunch of arbitrary hardware restrictions so that most old PCs couldn‘t even run Windows 11 without replacing hardware.
