  A small, but not unimportant correction is allowed. Amaretto is a liqueur based on almonds, not hazelnuts.

  To your information: the cologne cathedral contains the shrine with the remains of the Holy Three Kings. It is one of the most important works of art from the Middle Ages.

  Mulled wine is primarily intended to warm you from the inside and usually it also warms the hands, whether it tastes good is secondary, PROST from Hamburg ;)

  Regarding the hot mould wine I really like the swedish version. We get it in my hometown Kassel in the middle of Germany from Kassels swedish partner town Västerås. It is served with added raisins and almond slices.

  Warm or hot pretzels indicate pre-baked baked goods, i.e. industrial production! Unless you are in a proper bakery early in the morning, this is not a sign of quality. A fresh pretzel with butter (possibly + chives) or Camenbert on it is a dream.

  If you don’t like applesauce with potatoes pancakes (although it’s really good) the second most common topping is a garlic sauce (Knoblauch sauce). Also yummy.
