As a nine year-old child in 1974, I remember seeing a commercial for “These Are The Days” and thinking “There’s no way I’m spending my Saturday morning watching an old-fashioned show about old people being old.” I wanted to see spaceships and cowboys and superheroes.

I love that there’s an episode of Sealab 2021 which is literally a recreation of a Sealab 2020 episode, played completely seriously…up to the very ending credit gag.

I think a lot of us remember Sealab 2021. For the longest time I had no idea that was an re-edit/parody of an already established show.

I can’t believe that some of them flopped so hard.

Wow, Skatebirds looks like what would result if Sid and Marty Krofft didn't inhale.

The best explanation that I've ever heard about this period of H-B's work was from one of their animators from this period:

"They just didn't care anymore."

I loved Jana of the Jungle as a kid. Shame it’s never gotten a proper release. Love the Doug Wildey designs.

I actually used to record "These Are the Days" on videotape. I like it. I'd buy "These Are the Days" and "Sealab 2020" in a heartbeat. If "Jana of the Jungle" came on TV, I'd watch it.

HB even recycled their theme songs...The Mumbly show theme is the same tune as the Tom & Jerry show; the opening to "Fred & Barney meet the Thing" is a variation of the "Superfriends" theme.
