  I think the cup was supposed to be a portkey meant to transport the winner out of the maze to the viewing stands. Crouch simply tampered with it to redirect it to a different destination. It was an unscheduled layover.

  The Unbreakable Vow can&apos;t be forged; it needs three people to form it: the person asking, the person agreeing, and a witness who actually casts the binding Vow, as seen in HBP between Snape, Narcissa, and Bellatrix.

  The pensive could have solved an incredible amount of issues in the entire series. Every time, and there are a lot of them, that someone just &quot;doesn&apos;t believe someone&quot; I immediately think &quot; <b>bring out the pensive</b> &quot;

All he knows is that Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard in the world, and he likely also knows that Snape is a master occulumens.<br><br>It’s actually not unreasonable for him to assume that they’ve been coaching Harry as part of this theatrical event in the third event where he can fake his memories when probed, if Fudge is paranoid enough to assume Dumbledore is after his job.<br><br>Moreover, he just wants to believe what he wants to believe. He has Crouch Jr given a Dementor’s kiss just so there’s no chance of Voldemort’s return even becoming a rumour. He is that set in his ways. He’d absolutely find his excuses to justify not believing Harry in this circumstance.

  I&apos;ve always wondered what the spectators of the Triwizard Tournament were doing during the second and third tasks, if all the actions of the champions were hidden by water or bushes🤷🏼‍♀️

  I always found it weird that we were first introduced to Moody when he was being faked.<br>From a storytelling perspective, I think it would have made more sense to show us the real character first, so that we have a slim chance of figuring it out. Or if Crouch had taken on the identity of someone we already knew, like Hagrid or Lupin.<br>The tone is about how Crouch &quot;fooled everyone&quot; and put on a very convincing performance, but the audience (as well as many characters) didn&apos;t have the real character for comparison before it was revealed.

  Barty Crouch Jr sounding like Moody isn&apos;t really a plot hole for the movie either. &nbsp;Someone as talented as BCjr would be able to change his voice. &nbsp;And even without magic, &nbsp;It&apos;s not impossible to imitate another persons voice. &nbsp;Comedians have been doing it for years.

  The Triwizard Tournament is in my opinion the dumbest thing in all of Harry Potter. There are so many things with it that make no sense it&apos;s astonishing.

  The Portkey makes perfect sense. It was the exit to the maze but was tampered with. What doesn’t make sense is Dumbledore and Moody working and living together for a full year and Dumbledore never figuring it out. I mean, a single conversation would tear it to bits. <br>“Hey Moody, remember that time we went to Amsterdam?”<br>“Erm yeah… it was… cool.”<br>“Hmmmm… we were mugged and stabbed… hmmm. Suspicious.”
