  I always liked the scene where Dudley tells Harry he doesn’t think he’s a waste of space, and they shake hands

  My favorite scene in the books were when Harry, Ron, and Hermione are in the hospital, and they run into Neville and his grandmother. They are visiting Nevilles&apos; parents who no longer have memories because they were tortured. &nbsp;When Nevilles mom gives him a gum wrapper and his grandmother tells him to throw it away. &nbsp;He sticks it in his pocket &nbsp;because it is a gift from his mom. I cry every time I read it.

  Deleted? How about the part from Order of the Phoenix where Umbridge admitted SHE was the one who sent the Dementors to eliminate Harry before the start of his 5th Year? They cut the most crucial part of the book out of the film!!

  It was never explicitly stated, but has been confirmed by JKR: Neville was given his late father&apos;s wand by his grandmother which wasn&apos;t exactly matched to him. When he had to replace his wand after the events in the Ministry, his abilities markedly improved, and he became a leader among the students in Harry&apos;s place. Likewise, when Ron&apos;s wand, a hand-me-down from his brother, broke in Chamber of Secrets it had some humorous and necessary backfires, but when it had to be replaced, Ron became much more competent.<br>&quot;The wand chooses the wizard&quot;

  Imalda Staunton should have been nominated for an Oscar for her performance as Umbridge. Honestly don’t think anyone could have played that role better.

  Something I wish they would&apos;ve included in the movies was when Hermione explains to Harry why Ron is so upset during Goblet of Fire. She tells him to imagine what it&apos;s like to he Harry Potter&apos;s best friend. It&apos;s always about Harry. Ron doesn&apos;t get the spotlight ever. It makes two things much better: 1. Ron sticking up for Harry at the start of Order of the Phoenix and 2. Ron&apos;s success in Quidditch.

  One time I saw a deleted scene with Hermione on the train going home and she was holding a closed jar with a beetle inside, the beetle being Rita Skeeter.

  I&apos;ve always thought Dudley&apos;s good bye to Harry was a critical point in the books. I still can&apos;t figure out why they cut that scene

  They shouldn’t have cut any scenes, but the best way to get around that is to read the books! The books are loaded with detail, a feast for the imagination. So many things that didn’t make it into the movies are in the books, waiting to be ‘discovered.’ The movies are good, passive fun, but the books tell a much better story. They’re a &nbsp;meal instead of a snack. I LOVE the books!!!!
