  This west Indian team for about 18 to 20 years captain by Lloyd and Richards was truly invincible.

  West Indies was the greatest team in the world in 60s to late 80sand early 90s would like to see that again it’s sad 😢

  The youngsters who would have seen west indies in those days were very fortunate,Not only for the pacers but also the batsmen playing authentic,classic cricket strokes.And they played it with conventional bats.

  The Windies had such a powerful fast bowling unit in the early to late 80s, that losing with dignity was a good option.

  One more thing - the Courtney Walsh 2nd wicket in 2nd innings was a hat trick !! At the time, it wasn&apos;t realised that he took a wicket with his last ball in the 1st innings to go with his first 2 in the 2nd innings. Amazingly in the very next Test Merv Hughes also took a hat trick over 2 innings.

He really took the battle to the great West Indian fast bowlers. He played freely and fearlessly. The square cut off Ambrose @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szXRtdE29To&amp;t=1710">28:30</a> and the hook off Marshall @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szXRtdE29To&amp;t=1852">30:52</a> were truly phenomenal. He played several brilliant shots - many of which could not go to the boundary because of the very slow outfield. &nbsp;The flicked boundary off Ambrose yorker @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szXRtdE29To&amp;t=1758">29:18</a> and the square cut boundaries off Marshall @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szXRtdE29To&amp;t=1780">29:40</a> and Walsh @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szXRtdE29To&amp;t=1894">31:34</a> were great shots too.
