  I watch the squirrels, when the cardinals leave, and when I hear the ducks flying farther south if they come past me in August going to be very cold where I am at in Texas , the ants tell me , this year no squirrel scurrying in frantic collecting, ants are mild, haven’t heard ducks come past me , so mild winter. Hope we get rain been dry.

  I was raised in Los Angeles. &nbsp;My Dad would go out on the back porch, look up at the clouds/sky, tell us what the weather would be like. &nbsp;He told us he learned from Native Americans how to read the skies. &nbsp;He was exact 97% of the time. &nbsp;We&apos;d catch the news to find they were wrong a great many of the time. &nbsp;So like and appreciate your channel Silas. &nbsp;Thank you for sharing with not. &nbsp;I use and share a great many things I have learned from you. &nbsp;;-)

  I&apos;m only half way thru and I don&apos;t know yet if he mentions it, but my ex mother in law was a farmer. She always used to say winter fog freezes a hog. &nbsp;I know that to be true more times than not.

  Ok. Now we know it’s going to be a tough winter. So what? When is the storm? How long will it last? How much snow? How cold? It’s winter. Always prepare for the worst.
