  My husband is 4 years younger, met him when I was 27 and he was 23. We have been married for 6 years together for 9. Can relate to this conversation so much!

  You guys, they might only 4.5 years apart, but because they got together when he was in his early 20s, and she was in her late 20s, they were and are in different life stages, so it makes sense for them to discuss how it impacts their relationship. He is still establishing his career and her career is established. Not everyone would be be willing to be with someone still figuring this out!

  Five years is not much of an age gap for grown adults. It’s not uncommon for people to have 10-20 year age gaps.

  Jeanine, what you spoke about at the end with being in a toxic relationship and what you went through… I relate so much. When you feel the time is right, I would be so happy to hear more about how you found true healing and forgiveness from the traumatic relationship and how you worked through it when you finally found Kaleb and were in a healthy relationship. I struggle with the guilt and shame and feeling unworthy of a healthy relationship

  I did the 19-25 gap for 6 years! I thought he was mature then. He was in between jobs, didn’t drink or drugs no party so I thought it would work. <br>The marriage and kids conversation would always be vague. Also I didn’t have a relationship with Jesus. Now single for 3 years and this relationship with God has been the biggest blessings! <br>All in all this gap was huge so my advice would be knowing the Lord of course and having a clear plan and understanding. <br>Love hearing your story ❤

  If people kept bringing up something I did ten years ago, I’d probably be really frustrated too. I’m glad you finally addressed it. At this point, I don’t think the situation needs to keep being brought up over and over again. I read about it in your book a while ago, so I’m always surprised when people randomly bring it up in comments like it’s new information. Hopefully now people can stop talking about it

  Interesting.. My wife and I have a 15 year age gap - she&apos;s older. I was 26 when she was 41 - married her - unsure we&apos;d have children - been married 12 years, a 7 and 5 year old... very different lessons from what you share - but respect it&apos;s your truth.
