  To me a bush hat is much better, that’s all I wear in the woods. Also a mosquito net that goes over the bush hat works well. Very good tips on concealment, thanks Jason

  A wide brim hat doesn&apos;t &quot;point&quot; like the bill of a ball cap. Harder to discern movements. Especially if you utilize your veil as well.

  Big bill ball caps are a big no if your trying to remain camouflaged. &nbsp;Learned this a long time ago when trying to defeat the sharp eyes of the Wild Turkey. &nbsp;The big bill that helps you see, also produces a shadow line that gives your position away. &nbsp;It stood out glaringly in your first hide. &nbsp;Small brim leafy bucket hat or leafy head net.

  My two tips: good spot to setup is a blown over rootball. &nbsp;Gives you concealment 360°. &nbsp;Dirt smell is a good cover. &nbsp;Also gives you bullet proof cover, maybe a good thing. &nbsp;Second one: where ever you setup, get the leaves away from you. &nbsp;Twigs too. &nbsp;Make it so when you have to turn around, you can- silently. &nbsp;Twigs have a habit of grabbing. bowstrings or twanging on shotgun barrels.
