Crazy on You, live 1977. At her prime. Her vocals are insane. <---------

You need to watch them play Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center in front of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. With Jason Bonham playing drums. Your eyes may leak when you do. 😊

The story behind the song. Many years ago Ann explained the origins of the song. Their label placed an add in Rolling Stone Magazine insinuating the sisters in Heart being lesbian lovers for publicity. Later at a label party someone who worked for the label came up to Ann and asked her how her lover was. At the time she was with the male guitarist and she assumed he was referring to him. When she started to talk about him the guy interrupted and said no I meant your sister. Ann described him as a little creepy guy wearing one of those satin jackets that were so popular at the time. She felt instant revulsion and said that moment inspired the song Barracuda. I might not have all the details right as I saw the interview decades ago.

This performance was actually recorded live (and if you search enough you may find it) but something had happened to mess up the audio track so they overdubbed the original audio from the studio recording.  So if you see her singing not syncing up that's why.

I'm not one to usually recommend live versions, but "Crazy on You" live 1977 is a must!!

Ann Wilson is one of the greatest singers ever. ❤ Her sister Nancy is an incredible guitar player. Check out "What about Love" and "These Dreams" which Nancy sings lead.

Hi Lilly, actually, they are live on a stage here, but this is the original studio recording from the album. If you want to see the real deal with Heart Live, just search here on YT for Heart Live at KWSU, 1976 at the auditorium of Washington State University. They performed in large room on their campus, it was one of Hearts first American performance and they played all of their great hits in one show for the students, it's absolutely a masterclass of a performance, I was blown away at how great that performance was. There you will witness greatness. They came directly from Canada and the University was one of their 1st performances.
