  Excellent video as usual. As a person who climbed from 600 to 1600, this is my experience:<br><br>600 - 1,000 --&gt; mainly trying to avoid random opening tactics. Most of my opponents watch some online opening baiting traps that either end up capturing my queen or checkmating me. After a bit of playing and getting used to them, they are pretty easy to avoid.<br><br>1,000 to 1,500 --&gt; mainly trying to NOT blunder. I would say as long as we don&apos;t blunder too much, we will win more than 50% of the game and overtime, climbing elo is pretty straightforward. Most games are about which player blunders first. We don&apos;t need to find the best moves, just moves that are good and NOT blunders. <br><br>Also, 1 very common reason to blunder (especially for lower rated players like me) is the fixation on how to attack. Most of my blunders are about I try to attack and forget 1 of my pieces is hanging or i move my piece to the square that can be captured. I learn that as long as I don&apos;t fixated on attack and try to find squares that don&apos;t blunder, I can win more than 50% of the games.

  The issue with blunder videos is that we are only taught how to not hang a piece . Butt here’s next to zero coverage on positional blunders that affect position. Those are just as important

  My tunnel vision increases when I see I have a winning position and a concrete idea seems to be working. As in locking in my prey. I should learn to spot when my confidence is rising and shake it off.
