  The photo of Danuta Danielsson is from a Neo-Nazi march parade in the town of Växjö (don't even try to pronounce it) on April 13th 1985,. The parade was scattered when the furious inhabitants chased the Nazis away from the town square. A press photographer caught Danuta just as she was hitting one of the Nazis over the head. The picture made the papers on the following day and was instantly iconic. Much to the chagrin of Danuta, actually, but the picture remains as a cherished Swedish symbol of civic courage and integrity.

  In July 2018, Uppsala was hit by heavy rain that caused flooding at the train station. People took advantage of the opportunity and had fun in the water. 😂

  I am 72 years old now. Been playing pc games since around 1989 and still do. Remember that it was my generation that invented pc game. Swedish of course and female. Thumbs up for your description of changing diaper on your baby.

  It surprised me to discover that for an US American the Nazi Skin group was not recognizable :) To our eyes it is almost as if they were wearing a uniform, from the bomber jacket, tight jeans, Dr. Martins on their feet and the haircut I thought that no one would have had any difficulty recognizing them.

  Regarding the picture of the woman with frozen eyelashes, it is entirely due to the fact that she has covered her mouth and nose with a scarf.<br>This means that when exhaling, some of the warm air from her mouth comes out upwards on each side of her face and almost hits her eyelashes.<br>If she had not covered her mouth and nose, her eyelashes would not have looked like they do on the car.<br><br>Up in northern Sweden it can be -45 degrees Celsius. (-49 Farenhait)

  Yes, bicycling is VERY common here in Sweden, but it&apos;s not just a Swedish thing. Other European countries who bicycle a lot include the Netherlands and France, if my memory serves.<br>But essentially, you&apos;ll often see the &quot;sidewalk&quot; parts of the pavement be divided in half with a white line and symbols for pedestrians on the &quot;inner&quot; half and bicycles on the &quot;outer&quot; half that faces the road.<br>This makes it easier for cyclists to navigate traffic etc where there is a lot of overlap.

  There&apos;s lots of world famous videogames from Sweden actually. Minecraft, Goat Simulator, Helldivers, Amnesia, Battlefield, Stellaris, Hearts of Iron, Just Cause, Split Fiction... I could go on, but you get it.

  Swedes have a great ability to adapt quickly as well as come up with solutions to problems. The flooding in Uppsala was very localized and some people decided that it was a good opportunity to do something out of the ordinary. We are usually spared from natural disasters, with flooding, heavy winds (not hurricane level) and heavy snowfall. We are well equipped to handle those.<br><br>The guy that got hit by the purse was a neo-nazi. They used to walk around in different cities praising Hitler. One of those groups was the Swedish Democrats. Now they are our third biggest political party. It&apos;s amazing how many people that have forgotten this. Their biggest political policy is about immigration so not much have changed.
