My grandfather drove bus in Hollywood, during the depression. His route included Paramount Pictures. One day, Lana Turner got on his bus to go to the studio. He said that stars of that day often took the bus because there was no need for heavy security like we need today.
He said she was beautiful in person.

If you were a kid in the 70s like me, the names Hanna Barbera was like magic

I'm glad I grew up in the 70-80s when movies were really good and people looked forward to them coming out.....Grease, Saturday Night Fever, ET, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Rocky , Jaws, Smokey and the Bandit, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Back to the Future , Breakfast Club, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, Ghost Busters, Empire Strikes Back. I could go on , but you get it , those days are over and Hollywood is done. The best actors are aging and dying off. Sad.

I read Carol Burnett's autobiography. She was raised near the Chinese Theater and always dreamed handprints there where she played. She finally got it ...
Congratulations Carol.

Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, and The Flintstones among other Hanna-Barbera shows were my favorites when I was growing up in the late ‘69s and ‘70s.

This is heartbreaking. Almost the same feelings of sadness and loss felt when the American car industry was transferred overseas and Detroit collapsed, its former glory gone forever.

I arrived in LA in 1961 and lived in Hollywood for several years. It was paradise, clean, safe and affordable. It stayed that way for many years. After 60 years I moved out. I no longer recognized that wonderful place that was my home. Soo sad.

It's not just Hollywood that's dying. America as a whole is dying.

Sad how Hollywood has fallen. I visited Hollywood for the very first time in 1988. I was 21. What an amazing experience it was. It felt so cool and nostalgic. I was in awe. It’s totally unrecognizable today. The thrill and magic are gone. 😢😔

Young people probably don't know Hanna-Barbera Studios. It's sad they are getting rid of Hollywood historic places. Scott Michaels, you have one of the best voices for storytelling! Always great content ...
