How exciting, what an honour to be asked for an interview by Graceland Magazine.  That’s the wonder of Elvis and the wonder of you, Fil.

We seem to have lost the fact that it's the human imperfections that make something perfect!

It's incredible to think that a young man born into poverty, with no formal vocal training, went from driving a pickup truck for an electric company to becoming the most iconic singer the world has ever known. Elvis wasn’t just talented, his voice was phenomenal, raw and powerful, unlike anything anyone had heard before. It’s incredibly rare, maybe once in a generation, that someone so uniquely talented comes along. A voice like his, a presence like his... we may never see anything like it again.

Really enjoyed this. So happy they asked. And it was cool to learn that Lisa Marie saw your videos and approved. Impressive.

Great video Sir. I've played bass guitar for well over 150+ Elvis "Tribute Artists" since 1999.  The "Elvis world" is still going strong after all these years, and it's because the music is REAL, NOT CORRECTED and IMPERFECT!!!! The music, even playing same songs for 25+ years is STILL a joy to play!!!! ROCK ON Fil!!!!!

Elvis is in Rock, Country, Gospel and R&B, Rockabilly Hall of Fames.  Think he was in a class of his own.

Proof that the great singers don’t need to be exactly on the lines. In fact, being on the lines by definition takes all the character out.

These days it seems like many singers sound the same. Probably due in large part to the digital massaging that goes on. The real classic singers had an instantly recognizable voice, which I think contributed to their success. Singers like Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Freddie Mercury, and others.

You just proved again that you are the best at vocal analysis. Thanks

I loved your analysis on Elvis singing “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and how his voice would be almost impossible to auto tune because of his vibrato. This video explains his voice range in the middle of a note makes tuning up or down a tragedy in sound. Thanks Fil for educating your listeners so well.
