  Holy Sheeeit!!! I can't believe he can still sing it in the same register as the original at 76?!?!?! How in the hell? That song was part of my high school life, and he still sounds awesome. I would not have believed it if I hadn't heard it like this. WOW!

  I had the pleasure of recording Mickey in the late &apos;90s. I was a little nervous before he arrived at my studio because I had always loved his voice, but I assumed that someone who had such a powerful voice would come with a powerful ego as well. <br><br>Not so - he was sooo friendly and almost soft-spoken, asked me and others on the session about our lives rather than talking about himself, etc. <br><br>Then came the recording - there was that voice coming through my microphones and speakers... &nbsp;he was a joy to work with.

  I&apos;ve mixed Mickey several times. &nbsp;His incredible talent makes it seem effortless, and he is a consummate gentleman to everyone. &nbsp;Just the best to work with. &nbsp;Alex Ligertwood was another who had incredibly strong vocals in later life.

  This is a good example of virtuoso level singing but also genetic endowment. He never had formal voice training. &nbsp;Amazing example of a high Tenor who just sits in this high register naturally. He has made the most of his gift.

  to be able to still sing jane at 76 is phenomenal. no one ever really talks about him when they talk about the great singers, but he is totally on the list.
