Over the years I have tried different pillow hacks for camping balling up a sweater is a no-go and thought I always needed a pillow for a good night's sleep until I figured out if I stuff my down riding vest into my neck gaiter it becomes the perfect pillow for me two pieces of gear I already/always have and have never forgotten for those always looking to get more out of their gear but require a decent pillow give it a try

I love these sort of clips. One item that I will never travel without is a Snugpak Jungle blanket XL. It is possibly one of the most versatile pieces of camping kit ever, and packs down to the size of a coconut.
Tent wise, I prefer outer pitch first, but understand that everyone has different requirements.

I like the idea of the Green Chili luggage at less than 5 pounds. Some of the expensive soft luggage weighs 14 pounds before any gear is added.

This is a proper cool setup. Not too different from my (bicycle) bikepacking gear actually! Well done!

I’m gonna start slowly piecing the kit together. Thanks Ben! Keep up the good work!

If you’re going to bring a chair remember that peg post chairs even w/ feet will sink into the earth if it’s remotely soft ground. I have a folding rail seat that doesn’t. A work around that I’ve used is tuna cans under the legs works but is more bs. Better for home use. They also need drain holes

check Flextail Tiny Pump X for smaller inflater/deflator with a light.

Check BTS3000 burner for much smaller unit. Very cheap too and reliable.

Will you do a video on "emergency camping" for those who like hotels but may need to camp once in a while ?

It’s a funny thing, Ben, but I run pretty much the same stuff, if not all the same make. Convergent evolution of motorbike camping, I guess! 😉 I love that Rapide SL sleeping pad. Getting a good night sleep is a game changer, and it certainly enables that. Here in Texas I mostly run with that same quilt, too. I find that a the Sea to Summit Reactor Extreme bag liner is great for adding a few extra degrees of comfort on colder nights. I’m still running my ancient Kelty 2-person backpacking tent. It’s 16” long, packed, but that’s good enough for me. I use a Jet Boil Java set for cooking. It includes a coffee press. Because, along with a good night of sleep, a good cup of coffee in the morning makes the world a better place. Although I don’t usually pack it on my KLX 250, when I’m camping with my Tiger 900 Rally Pro, I take a roll up folding table. I don’t bend as good as I used to, and it’s nice to be able to cook on a table instead of the ground. But great recommendations, across the board. Pay attention folks. You won’t enjoy the experience if you are miserable, and the gear recommended will definitely ensure you’re comfy. Some of it is a bit pricey, but IMHO, the delta between misery and comfort is well worth it. Buy once, cry once, and then enjoy years of happy adventures. 😃
