Bought a 3 year old house last year in a new high end subdivision for 50k less than original purchase price. The original owners also paid the 9k closing costs. I still get all kinds of Zillow updates on the homes I was interested in last year still for sale. One I really liked had already dropped by 110k. Had I known they’d have taken that much less I’d have bought it, but if I made that offer last year, they’d have turned up their nose.

I know realtors swear prices cannot go down but we will see soon if that holds as rates climb. Treasury debt is only going up from here which means rates are only going up unless there’s a recession.

folk have to learn that buying a house doesn't mean all this $$$. Investment, buy, make $$$, profit, get rich..Reality is despite what market and comps say you sell to sell and be able to get a new place or be done with it..Holding put for the mega bucks, especially now, not gonna happen 💯
