  Not long ago we sold our beautiful 1998 Continental R. We took it through Europe and on a run it exceeded 22mpg but it was the maintenance cost which made us sell it - still it remains a great memory

  The issue isn't reliability, it's deferred maintenance and lack of use.  Once you get one sorted properly, they are outstanding, especially the later ones with the 6spd and updated cams.  Had a 2009 and nothing was quite a special as that car.

  Anorak here ! Texture on the inside of the door handles if it’s the T variant- and on the mirror switches- the lower grille in matrix was a cost option- around £2500 .

  I have owned 2 Arnage. A 2001 6.75 followed by a 1998 4.4<br>I had the 6.75 first and it all but bankrupt me. In 12 months the following had to be dealt with:<br>Head gasket (£3,500)<br>Gearbox (£2000)<br>Water pumps (£2000)<br>I lost faith and sold it<br><br>Two years later I bought a 4.4 BMW engine variant. <br>It proved to be faultless. <br>Choose your Arnage carefully.

  I love my 2001 Arnage , 6 3/4L engine pulls like a locomotive down the road … maintenance cost is about the same as my other cars , nothing drastic, I do it myself or have my local shop work on it … 6 months insurance is $375 … sometimes may be tricky to get parts , but between eBay , Flying Spares and Introcar , I can get everything I need … all in all , very rewarding car to own , it’s very special and has tons of charm and character

  Many parts are cross referenced to Audi and BMW. I have a 2007 T and my ABS sensors are from a 2001 BMW 7 series! Check the forums for info.
