After many miscarriages and a phantom pregnancy I was in a thrift store and they had a life like newborn doll that could BREATHE. And the mechanism caused little twitches like a real baby. It healed me in a way I thought impossible.

People with dementia often have questions about where their baby/dog/cat have been, so fake babies/dogs/cats are given to ease the patient’s mind. Many dementia patients don’t understand when or where they are, so giving these dolls can bring them back to a time where they once were. Since having real babies/dogs/cats in a nursing home can be a hazard, this can be a good alternative to easing a patient.

As the mom of a child with a congenital heart defect, the same one her ‘baby’ had. <br><br>It pisses me OFF. My daughter FOUGHT and almost died as a baby. I have diagnosed PTSD because of what we went through. And she’s just out here throwing out a diagnosis like it means nothing.

A local teacher just recently was caught out in lies about cancer, a fake leg amputation and faking her death. People thought she had died but she had moved and was caught after someone found a photo of her on a running club Facebook page without crutches, a fake leg, oxygen tank and….. not being dead. She’s in the next town over and this has become a huge story in the last week.

The purpose of Reborn Dolls is as a tool for mothers grieving infertility or a miscarriage. There are collectors and weird markets around them (I have seen ones painted and styled to look like the Navi from Avatar), but the reason they're "photo-realistic" is as a coping tool for genuine mothers in grief.

This reminds me of that woman who faked a pregnancy, m*rdered another woman, and stole the baby from her body. Morbid and extreme, but just saying this behavior is DERANGED and takes a person who will go any length to lie.<br><br>Edit to clarify, talking about Taylor Parker. Absolute monster.
