Roddy McDowell has always been an A+ actor. I was like "wait, is that the dude from fright night!?!"

I watched this show religiously every Tuesday (or was is Thursday?) night.  I thought it was fantastic.  in '64 I was a senior in high school and a little over two years later I was a combat engineer in Vietnam.  Who knew?  viewed in San Diego, California USA

I sat with a WW2 solider near the end of his life .He went from LT. to Major by the end of the war. Italy, Repido River debacle etc. His only complaint about this show was that after a firefight you were always alert because the shooting could bring more of the enemy. You didn't stop and talk and assume it was over. Charles McCann was his name (Silver Star, Bronze star, 2 Purple Hearts). I dated his niece and she showed the metals to me. He loved his men and hated General Clark who got so many of his men needlessly killed. He was a patriot !!!

The Sarge is a GENIUS.<br>He not only outwitted the German, but he also got valuable information, while getting closer to the American lines.

I used to watch cam at as a kid. They were a recon patrol or rather a scouting patrol. It was so well made I like the black and white episodes the best. &nbsp; They &nbsp;used &nbsp;Kodak 2500 film &nbsp;and special small can eras to film in close quarters. &nbsp;Vic morrow and Rick Jason were really great. Vic got killed filming a movie. And Rick &nbsp;committed &nbsp;suicide. &nbsp;Sad. They were &nbsp;really great actors

The great Roddy McDowall. I loved all of his work. He was quite a photographer, too. &nbsp; His home movies of the &quot;stars&quot; relaxing at a beach party are utterly charming. His interviews were witty and insightful. He had much wisdom and humor about his Hollywood. I know he carried some Hollywood secrets to his passing...
