It’s insane how almost every death is insanely ironic except hector

One of my favorite parts of the Aeneid was when Aeneas meets Achilles in the afterlife and Achilles basically says "Yeah it sucks down here.  Glory and achievements mean nothing when you're dead"

Killed by wife, son, host, mom , suicide.. damn. So basically being a hero is not an Ideal but a curse.

And then there's Perseus, one of the few greek heroes with a happy ending.

Odysseus doesn't die in The Odyssey.  It's a later story (not the Odyssey) that says he dies.

You didn't have Perseus, the only one that ended happily.

What makes Greek heroes so memorable isn't how they lived, but how they died. Each death reflects a deeper lesson about pride, ambition, loyalty, revenge, or destiny. That's why these myths have survived for thousands of years—they explore timeless aspects of human nature.

Weird I read that Odysseus was given another prophecy to find peace in land where noone knows what an oar is, so when Penelope died he travelled with oar on his shoulder and finally rest somewhere in north africa
