The more I hear the world's cult-like behaviour towards Intelligent people, the more I realise the world's evolving backwards.

The world wants those detached from society, decided on innovating a new era for making things easy and simple for normal joes, joining the "rat race" they weren't designed to.

And this is what makes me creeped from the inside about societal norms, the game feels rigged. There feels no return of people talking of Innovation and Technology, there's only people following the fools.

If to summarize - intelligent person understands his/her own imperfections, so he/she chooses a wrong partner to punish himself/herself for that. Makes sense?

Interesting take, but this feels more like click-driven psychology than Arthur Schopenhauer. His idea was that love can override reason in service of reproduction and not that intelligent people are worse at choosing partners.

In fact, intelligence is often seen as attractive, people tend to choose partners similar to themselves rather than in the dramatic way suggested here.

Interesting video still, this feels more like clickable psychology than Schopenhauer. His point was that love can override reason in the service of reproduction, not that intelligent people are especially bad at choosing partners.
Actually, intelligence is often considered attractive in mate choice, and as Todd has shown, humans also tend to pair assortatively rather than in the sensational way suggested here.
