Love this and want this as well! Amazingly done.
For Focus Stacking, try Helicon Focus, the best tool for creating amazing Macro images.

As a Metrologist, this reminds me of an OGP, Micro-Vu or Vision Engineering Vision System. Great work. I luv this idea and your execution! Im so jealous of your skills and abilities!

This kind of reminds me of the golden age of modelshop VFX.
Creating custom motorized rigs for a very specific shot.

A Photogrammetry jig would be a fun spare-parts build if someone has a collection.

I love the idea of scrap/spare printer parts being used to make cool machines/robots. Would love to see more builds like this!

Ok Mandic, I am a lab chemist and I use the same type of microscope for the messy samples. I would to be able to automate focus stacking like that with a full control. This could be very helpful for lost cost academic research that need routine imaging of irregular samples.

Scalp inspection cameras have some pretty good magnification, you could look at that instead of a microscope.

2 ideas: indexing pins in your base plate, and add a bigger light diffuser for better illumination and thus better images
