Triumph Bonneville T100 or Royal Enfield Interceptor (INT) 650, which is better?

  Great comparison! I just wanted to say, in my opinion, the lack of tech on the RE is a plus for me. Too many bikes are just so bloated with unnecessary things these days.

  I've got an Interceptor and it's a nice bike but I felt it needed a few mods, the suspension was a bit crashy on the rural Australian roads I ride, the foot controls were a bit cheap and nasty (I can't stand the wee foot brake lever that looks like a gear shifter), and risers to bring the bars a little up and back, Once I sorted that out it's very nice, and the beauty of having only 47 horses means you can give it a little bit of go without scaring the shit out of yourself or losing your licence. In my book it's not an all day bike (I have an ST1300 for that) but for an hour or two in the saddle it's fine, and a lot of fun.

  I work at a Triumph/Royal Enfield dealership and have ridden both quite a bit. I know the T100 has better specs on paper, but the INT/GT 650s have a low-down primal grunt that just feels better riding. I ended up purchasing a GT. 😎

  I bought the Interceptor in 2019 and had it for five years. I sold it just 3 months back only for one reason.  She started feeling heavy ! Yea, I'm 76 and felt the weight since a few months and hence decided to part with her. Most unwillingly, though. I've owned a Triumph Thunderbird 650, Bonneville, Norton Dominator 500, BSA Goldstar,  Aerial, Honda 500, Yamaha, 125/250 twins and the Legendary RD350 and a host of other bikes. The Interceptor is in a league of it's own and I've toured long distances with my wife, without a whimper from the bike. She pulls well, has good torque when needed, cruises at 140 whole day and s silk smooth. Though I regret selling her, I'll love her for ever.

  I own 2 interceptors one in Ventura blue the other Red/chrome and a 2008 t100 in red/silver. I love all 3 the t100 feels very retro and as you say overall heavier and less nimble but obviously more powerful. The interceptor feels lighter, more sporty especially the seating position. It depends what mood I’m in which I prefer😊

  Totaly agree! I had an Intercepter 650 sidecar outfit. Best bike I ever owned.

  I bought a slightly used z900rs for Interceptor money. Love it! <br>Still have a soft touch for that Inty though. I could see myself yield to temptation at some time ...<br>After all if you can have 2 why can&apos;t I have one 😂
