  the main purpose of the dark sign, mechanically, is mainly to be a deterrent for softlocks. allowing players who somehow get completely stuck somewhere, unable to reach a bonfire and w/o any homeward bones, be able to always get back to a bonfire no matter what (with the cost being your current souls bc you couldnt get them back anyway if you were softlocked)

  Mushrooms are notoriously hardy. She could certainly regrow what little bits she trimmed off for you.

  I think the prism stone's "rare 8th color" is a reference to "octarine" or "the color of magic" from the Discworld novels.

  “The divine blessing is Gwyndolin’s bathwater” No probably it’s just normal water Blessed from Gwendolin, and it makes sense because there is only a limited amount of. It’s still a good theory of the bathwater, but most new players probably won’t bother. In fact when i was new i thought it was a really strong alcoholic

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt9hbPJANuY&amp;t=370">6:10</a> its part of her. shes stuck in place like a mushroom growing on the tree. the ones we eat are likely offshoots since fungus can essentially be one organism with many bodies. its part of her flesh, but not from the main body unless you get the 3 from killing her. like the mushroom growing on the trunk next to her would be an example. the &nbsp;mushrooms growing on the side could be parasitic rather than just a decomposer, so the healing it gives you from ingesting is the life it has taken from its host, thats just my own theory though.

  Green Blossom is more likely wasabi root. They mention that it can only be grown chilled but not frozen water and they look somewhat alike. <br>That is what I believe.
