Lots of fraud in many places here in California. We need to have them all to be checked out by financial auditors going through all the various accounts.

The more fees a city has the more of a sign that the money is mismanaged and has big corruptions!

I could of told you, we are recklessly spending on homeless, and illegals, then doing back room deals on bull crap, and then crying when there is no more money and saying people are not paying and we need more taxes!

This guy is passionate and actually cares. We need to vote in people who carry the same passion.

The 1999 bill that increased pensions by 50% RETROACTIVELY is almost never mentioned, but critical in understanding how the pension mess was created. Plans that were essentially 100% funded immediately fell to 66% funded and have stayed there ever since. When Schwarzenegger was governor, he saw this coming. He wrote an opinion piece in the WSJ that said, "In coming years, when CA politicians want money for any reason whatsoever, think pensions." Truer words were never spoken. There is no solution for CA's messed up finances without public sector union reform. And preferably elimination.

As a third generation Californian and a gratefully retired Science Teacher of 20+ years I can attest that our State needs and deserves to be reformed and saved. Getting rid of Newsom et ilk would be a great start. Thanks for this enlightening conversation!
