  EBFM already answered your question - yes higher CA-PA gap means fater growth. Which is why Harrogaters grow faster.

  Sutton is part of Greater London area (10 miles from Charing Cross) so Pep probably wouldn't mind.

  Harrogate did better because the mechanic of consistency is (or at least used to be) that every game a player would have a [consistency rating]/25 probability of playing to their full CA, while if they "rolled" a bad game they lose 10 CA (in technicals and mentals only) for that game. So a player with 20 consistency plays to their CA 20/25 times while a player with 1 consistency only plays to their CA 1/25 times. Since the loss is only 10 CA Harrogate's players were still better than Sutton's even in their "bad" games. This also explains why Sutton did better before the Harrogate players overtook them in CA in the Prem, they basically had a 10 CA advantage.

  Been waiting for this video, really interesting.  My takeaways- ca players grow quicker if the gap between ca and pa is bigger, everything else being equal. consistency is massively important in the game engine, Sutton outperformed Harrogate every step of the way until Harrogate got to 10 consistency, even with a 10-15 ca advantage. Can't tell how important it is in the match engine though, so may not effect saves where you actually manage a team in the same way.
