  It's funny because if Elon was just honest and said "yeah, I played Quake back in the day. I was just kinda okay and came in second in some obscure tournament no one remembers" he'd probably get a lot more gamer cred.

  Liars always get so specific with details and make it so easy to disprove. Like if he'd just said "I used to play a lot of Quake, and I was pretty good at it. I played on a couple tournament teams, even." then it wouldn't be something you could immediately disprove.

  His diablo argument that he was the top player in the world was because had the 19th best score on a third party website on one specific challenge, which is like saying you&apos;re the &quot;best arcade gamer in america&quot; because you have the high score at a local arcade on Ms. Pac-man &nbsp;(and only on Ms. Pac-man). Even without the fact his class was broken on that challenge, it&apos;s still ridiculous.<br><br>Oh and it wasn&apos;t him playing either, but even if it was it&apos;s still a ridiculous exaggeration. The guy can turn getting second at a random tournament into being &quot;one of the best quake gamers in the world&quot; and it&apos;s exactly the same kind of insane self-aggrandizing exaggeration that makes him go &quot;I know more about rockets than anyone else, I made myself the leading world expert in a year by reading a few books&quot;.<br><br>Musk&apos;s greatest skill is getting credit for things he hasn&apos;t done and will never do. A lot of his fans act like it&apos;s inevitable he&apos;ll land on mars and give him credit for making civilization multiplanetary already. It&apos;s wild.

  the only cool thing about Joe Rogan is that he is an OG gamer, &nbsp;i believe in that very podcast clip where he talks about getting the cable installed he said he had to swear off gaming after that because he knew he would get addicted and tank his career. &nbsp;Imagine how much different the world would be now if Joe gave into the gaming addiction and just wasted his life playing Quake DM.

  elon&apos;s exceptionality in playing quake was using a corporate internet connection at the time, meaning he had the best ping, giving him an advantage compared to everyone else.

  I have a lot of free time, but even I leveled Disbalo 4 to a certain point and I was like, putting in more than this is a waste of my time
