It doesnt care what your physiology is. It simply presents itself as a problem to be solved through raw strength, technique, physiological advantages or your specific style. 10 different climbers will climb a route 10 different ways and the rocks do not care theyre just there whether youre good enough or not

  the thing with highly customizable difficulty is that it works well for games that benefit from it like Civ 6 games or Stellaris, strategy/grand strategy games.

  There is kind of a secret difficulty in Destiny 2. There is something called Solo Flawless in their dungeons. A typical activity that takes 3 players to beat. You load up into it solo. And the whole point is to get through every encounter without dying. In a single sitting. You can&apos;t leave and come back. If you leave or die, challenge is over.<br>The best part is is that the only reward you get from doing this is typically a special emblem. Which is a banner behind your name.

  I love playing most games on the high difficulties especially when that brings new mechanics to the enemies making them harder that way or making the AI smarter. I can also accept enemies just straight up doing more dmg to point of them one tapping me like in most shooters, however I hate when a higher difficulty means the enemies become bullet sponges which also happens in a lot of shooters. So when it comes to shooters you often get enemies that one taps you, but will take whole magazines to take down, which makes games with those difficulties extremely unfun.

  I’ve never understood wanting to play on the hardest difficulty. <br><br>When I’m racing, I’m racing to win. Not eke out a photo finish by taking every corner perfectly. <br>When I’m fighting, I want to take on entire armies solo, leave no one standing using my favourite weapons. Not to sit behind cover waiting for my health to regen so that I can pop my head out to take down one or two guys before being forced to take cover again. <br><br>Maybe it’s just me but I play games to have fun and I don’t find most* hard games to be game. <br>*Dark souls and souls likes are hard and fun but that’s the only exception.

  when Atrioc mentioned lies of P not being a stream game my mind instantly went to NL and his coverage of the game and how enjoyable it was to watch, then he mentioned it lol

  I understand a game deciding to have a flat difficulty. I think the two best options outside of that (for most games) is quiet, subtle adjustments or having some sliders in an accessibility tab.

  To his point around minute 43, I distinctly remember some of the most fun I&apos;ve had in a game being in Xenoblade Chronicles X and just exploring way out of my level range. You can get to the near end area very early if you put in the effort, so I just spent hours scouting around, picking up little scraps of loot I could safely get to, and stealthing around enemies that would obviously whoop me. It&apos;s fun being able to make your own challenges like that.

  honestly i&apos;d take a job as a professional loser, just barely giving the enemy enough of a challenge but knowing i don&apos;t have to win sounds so chill
