Lewis Carroll (author of Alice in Wonderland) also wrote a poem called the Jabberwocky. The nonsense poem mentions the creatures he made up, including the Jabberwocky, the Jubjub bird and the Bandersnatch. The poem is referenced in many adaptations of Alice in Wonderland. It is one of my favourite poems.

Okay, nobody’s going to like hearing my opinion. But, I actually have a soft spot for this remake. I know about the problem it has and why it doesn’t work. But, I personally see this as a remake of the book than the original animated Disney movie. Even if I’m the only one who likes it, I just can’t act like I wasn’t entertained.

The White Queen and the Red Queen are characters in Alice Through the Looking Glass book. For the film the combined the Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts.

This is such a comfort movie for me. Also fun fact, Jennifer Lawrence auditioned to play Alice in this movie. I'm really glad she didn't get it, Mia is perfect.

Some people tend to call this a remake, but it's not, it's a follow-up to the animated movie, just like CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is a follow-up to the WINNIE THE POOH movies
